ABS Brake Problems
ABS instability failure. Shop stated that my ABS mode is kicking in and the instability light goes on and off with the ABS light. What are the questions to ask the mechanic so I may know exactly what he is replacing. I beleve there are 4 sensors, 1 for each brake, ABS hydraulic and ABS control.
Ask what failed? Exactly, and what is needed to replace those parts, and what is the price? What cause this problem? It is quite normal for only one sensor to fail. Jaguar is famous for over charging for repairs. They normally do a good job, but they are very expensive and as mentioned before, only work from the BOOK price. The BOOK price is usually over actual time needed.
