ABS Brakes Problems
ABS Traction Control lights stay on
There are sensors on all for hubs to tell if your brakes are worn out
Brakes are Locked against rotors
Tap on the back calieper with a hammer to try free the brakes possible the calieber is bad or tap on brake lines to free up any debry may help
ABS brakes slowly go to floor/engine
You can "try " to take it off not recommended, though you could severly screw up the computer or even kill yourself or someone elese. Leave it alone and take it to a mechanic that knows abs.
No brakes
Try bleeding the master cylinder after it has been installed, the same way you bleed lines. Just crack the lines a smidge. And I mean a tiny smidge.
ABS instability failure
At reparing shop it should be clarified what cause this problem. It is quite normal for only one sensor to fail.
Brakes will not bleed and stay up. Can't get the brakes to pump up have replaced calipers master cyclinder booster.
Make sure bleeder fittings are on the top side of the front caliper, have seen them insatlled wrong left to right before and cause this problem.
ABS makes a noise that sounds like rusty hinge
You are saying that the brakes make this noise when you jump on the brakes. This is perfectly normal.
A spongy brake, it is 3.8 engine with ABS
Have you had anyone try to clean and adjust the rear brakes? You will need a shop to scan the van for ABS codes first to cure the ABS light. The rear brakes do apply when you push the parking brake
4wd and abs warning lights still on
Check out the sensors for the ABS, check to see if there is a caliper sticking or hanging and be sure there is no squeak on the back of the brake pads
Popping/bumping on left front when applying brakes
You may have rust buildup on the teeth that the speed sensor measures. Pull off the axle, and check the toothed gear that resided in the spindle.
ABS control module «brake fluid pump» runs constantly. Can this module be repaired?
I do not know anywhere that can repair the module. The one from a salvage yard is a good idea.
I'm not sure if they are broken, but the ABS light is on and I would like to know how to trouble shot to find out what is wrong
The only way to repair your ABS issue is to have someone with a ABS computer system code scanner. Scan your system for fault codes, and the codes will lead you to a problem. For the most part ABS components are very expensive, why guess at it when you can be precise...
